I will be making my professional Chicago theater debut in a leading role as Rutherford Calhoun in Lifeline’s 2022 production of Middle Passage based on the award-winning novel by Charles Johnson. Middle Passage paints the picture of Rutherford Calhoun, a newly freed Illinois slave who arrives in New Orleans to try and seek a better life by running from his past. It’s a story about history, racism, poverty, and what kind of an impact freedom can have in our lives.
